Pay Haven
Hotel complex on a human scale and very welcoming thanks to the kappa club team.
The rooms are good (just small flat when you go on safari, you have to repack all the bags and leave the room. When we got back, we'd have ordered a new room. Too bad not to keep the same all week it would be easier).
The restaurant is well and quite complete as well as the bar.the common areas are very nice. The hotel is green some animals wandering around the hotel, nothing bad, rest assured.
Both pools are really top. The big one at the bar is very hot, the one near the beach and a little cooler
The beach is just splendid, the watamu bay is really beautiful.
We did the safari with the hotel which was very good for the blue safari, we called omar safari which is often on the beach or you can contact him on WhatsApp +254 716 157 670. you can go there with your eyes closed, serious person, we had booked remotely and pay on the day of the excursion

A vacation ruined thanks to Veratour.
Positives:
Very green, clean, and the staff was friendly and kind. Perhaps also the cuisine for those who do not have high expectations.
The beach was full of seaweed.
Negatives:
Old rooms, dilapidated bathroom.
A true disaster, the safari experience with Veratour.
A real shame, our honeymoon with three children was mainly planned for the safari, but "thanks" to Veratour, it became a nightmare.
Moreover, Angelo (the Veratour manager) dismissed us with: - you paid in Italy... so deal with the assistance in Italy.
Vacation ruined.

superb stay
the team of the Kappa club Elisa Matano and Juma are excellent, the animators Kappa are always very good but these 3 do a superb job, I particularly enjoyed the aperitifs of 7:30 pm which allows the French to meet and sympathize.
The hotel staff is lovely and very professional, the cocktails are delicious especially the passion mojito, the food is very good, the beach is beautiful with more than enough deckchairs and the beachgoers are always there to help you settle down, the cleaning always well done.
I couldn’t find any negative points at this hotel apart from one, if you take the safari with the hotel you have to vacate the room so repack your bags before the safari and unpack your bags on the return from the safari, which is frankly not pleasant for a room we pay for.
We booked our safari with Omar which you can reach on +254 716 157 670, we found it by reading the other reviews on tripadvisor and we did not regret, he is super pro, speaks fluent French, he offers you the same services as the hotel see even better and especially much cheaper, we did a 2 day safari as well as the safari both were top, and in addition to the advantageous price you will not have to return your room.
Apart from that everything is perfect at Crytal Bay resort
