This place is very friendly and conveniently located. They offer dog friendly rooms that's affordable. If you haven't stayed here I'd highly recommended giving a try. I'd say more but I don't want to spoil it all. Near by restaurants and beach access.

Home away from home.
A visit here is like going to your second home. Rooms are clean, beds and bedding are comfy. Wanna hit the beach the day you leave? No problem there are two showers for guest use after checkout. Boogie boards and bicycles to borrow for free, drying racks, and good eats on site. We love the breakfast and brunch basket sooo much - at 8am hot coffee, juice, fruit, pastries, yogurt, and sandwiches are delivered to your door. And just so friendly. It’s truly like going to your second home.

Wonderful, refreshing stay
I just got back from four nights at Ernest House and would recommend it to anybody. Coronavirus has meant I can't go overseas (I live in Tokyo), and working from home means I'm never out of the house, so I really needed a dose of beach and relaxation. And I got it.
Clean, bright, wonderful rooms that I think have just been redone, and a funky, relaxed vibe that made staying there a pleasure. I had a room facing away from the road (I think a must) and at night, with the windows open, I could hear the waves. The beach is a little farther than I expected, about a five-minute walk, but still close enough for really easy access - for walks, or to sit and watch the waves as the sun set. The breakfasts, which were delivered at the door of the room in a picnic basket, were delicious and filling enough that I almost didn't need a lunch. If you want fancy, this isn't your place - but if you want beach access, relaxation, clean and comfortable (and with some of the hottest water and fluffiest towels of any hotel in Japan), this is definitely it.

Will stay here again!
Decided to take a last minute weekend trip here (Sunday night) and the owners replied same-day to my online request. We were able to stay in the family room with our three young children but the room could have accommodated 4 more easily. Multiple friends that recommended coming here said to get the breakfast basket which we did. It arrived at our door promptly at 8am and we walked about 5 minutes down the street to sit at the entry ramps down to the beach to enjoy our breakfast and watch the morning surfers. Our kids rolled up their jeans and had a wonderful time playing in the sand, looking for shells, and climbing rocks. We want to come back in the summer and enjoy some of their free rentals and some swimming.

Such a wonderful place to stay
Arrived on a Friday and left on a Wednesday and what a fabulous time we had at Ernest House. From arrival to leaving Chie and her husband looked after us so well. Set in a fab location so close to the beaches and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Rooms are cosy and have everything you need. This is the cleanest place we have stayed in Japan the standard is very high and all the staff work so hard.
Breakfast is a must, each morning our basket appeared outside our room and each day everything was so yummy. I had requested tomato juice as I cannot have fruit juices which Chie arranges without any extra cost. Each day was a delight and a surprise opening the basket we enjoyed while sitting in the sunshine.
The deck area is great too, quick shower in the outside changing rooms and then dip into the jacuzzi for a unwind following a day at the beach.
Chie is such a lovely lady so accommodating both of us were really sorry to leave and hope to come again.
