The staff was very friendly. However, the hotel has come into age . Wallpaper was falling off throughout the building, clean sleeping sheets were provided, but the interior was dirty

I was worried about the TripAdvisor review....
My family of four stayed with me on a ski/snowboard Orion tour bus trip during the New Year holidays.
You can choose a hotel to suit your budget or other needs for your Orion tour, but the hotel you were looking for was fully booked, so I decided to come here after perusing each hotel's reviews. I was anxious until I arrived because TripAdvisor didn't review it.
Some people have written bad reviews on other sites, but I think ski resort hotels, especially bus tour hotels, are generally "training camps" that the guests should be prepared for. After all, I think it only rotates for about three months with snow in a year, and the hotel staff must be mostly students with no seasonal part-time experience. It's more impossible to expect. Shouldn't we think that even if the cleaning isn't done all the way down the hall, there's no point in just having all the rice in frozen food?
So far it's been a general theory, but considering that, the Mountain Hotel is definitely a pass mark. There are stains on the walls and hallway floors, there is dust in the hallways, but the rooms are clean (student part-timers worked hard) and the futons are fluffy duvets. Big bath (hot spring?) There is also. The meals were cold in the morning and evening, but there were many items, and I was satisfied. On New Year's Day, there were even osechi and ozoni. As someone who plays with me during the New Year's holidays, I could only be thankful.
Orion rental skis and other equipment are also available for rent at the arrival point of the bus and can be changed at the hotel (locker fee 300 yen). Of course, there are cheaper hotels than this one, but this one has many families as reviewed by other sites, and the full front desk staff (?)I felt that it was different from a camp-house hotel at the bottom because it was also solid.
Located halfway up the mountain, you can ski directly down to the lift at the foot of the mountain and on your way back you can slide straight back to your hotel.
We are a mixed family, including Americans, and we have lived abroad, past and present. Every few months I stay in hotels of various levels, from luxury to business hotels, for work, games and travel, but if the person staying here wants to stay in a beautiful hot spring hotel and eat kaiseki cuisine for dinner, this is not the place to be. I think it's very good in terms of the purpose of going skiing or snowboarding and the good value for money and the good cost.
It made me want to come to Hakuryu again. Thank you very much.

Great stay, 10/10 will do again. The staff was particularly accommodating when we needed to make arrange to leave sooner than we originally intended. Extremely grateful.

とにかく食堂が寒いです。ビュッフェスタイルですが、ゆっくり食事を楽しめないです。もう少し暖房が効いていると嬉 しいなぁと思いました。
