I really don't understand the positive reviews. The Alloggi Olimpia is "part of" the Hotel Olimpia but really not. There is no lift to room. Once you take the hotel olimpia elevator you have to go down weird back stairs and hallways that stench of trash. It was so bad I felt sick to my stomach walking to and from the room. The room itself was spacious and clean but the canal view is a complete joke. It looks out to a loud bus station type situation with people yelling and flighting. The bar tender was super rude when we went for our "free drink" which is water, orange juice or a quarter glass of prosecco. We ordered spiral spritz and charged to the room which seemed to change his attitude a bit, but not welcoming. For $600 USD a night it was overall bad. We disnt eat at the restaurant. The tables for the hotel restaurant were completely empty. We got our drinks and snacks at the restaurant next door which was great service. The location is decent but honestly perplexed by the positive reviews.

Very convenient from the taxi/bus station, helpful staff with recommendations for the local area & spacious/clean/quiet room.

Great location near the auto us/train/people mover boat. Take the people mover vs the private taxis that cost a lot.

Lovely, quaint hotel on one of the small canals. The room worked great for my 4-person family and is within eye shot of the main Piazza where all the buses come in so was easy to get to. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and though it was a separate cost at 15 euro per person, it was well worth it. Everything is really close in Venice so really anywhere on St Lucia is convenient for shopping and sightseeing. Additionally, there are a couple of restaurants right next to the hotel and we enjoyed a very nice dinner at one of them.
