The property was lovely and the view spectacular. The only downside was the air conditioner was central and turned off of an evening. The tv’s are very old and very tiny but thankfully the view made up for it.

Garni Selene Hotel

Family owned who are super friendly. Intimate setting with beautiful views of Lake Garda. Peaceful and quiet. Large swimming pool overlooking the lake. Not far from villages to tour. The European style breakfast has many choices and staff very accommodating.

Perfect Holiday Hotel for us!

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in this delightful hotel. From the moment we were welcomed by Valentina I knew that we were going to have lovely hospitality and be well looked after. The hotel was spotless and our room was well appointed and spacious. We had a lovely balcony with a stunning lake view. The swimming pool was beautiful and we just loved relaxing there. The breakfast was simple but always fresh and tasty. All the staff were very helpful and answered all our questions and gave us lots of ideas of where to go and things to do. We almost began to feel like a part of the family! We used the bikes to go for a ride and did some of the local walks they told us about. We were even given flowers and wine when they found out we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel or recommend it to others. A real gem!

Lovely Quiet Place to Relax

The hotel is situated a short bus ride from the centre of Malcesine but is a beautiful tranquil place with a lovely garden and spectacular views over lake Garda from the rooms. It's more of a traditional family run hotel so it's better for a family or couples vacation rather than for a wild party but the owners are lovely people who couldn't do enough to help you and make sure you are comfortable. I also give it full marks because of its great prices in an otherwise overpriced area.

OUTSTANDING!!!!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hotel Garni Selene in Cassone just 2 miles outside of Malcesine on the beautiful Lake Garda. The Hotel is positioned on a steep hill in a very peaceful beautiful spot, surrounded by beautiful old historic buildings and lush gardens with Panoramic views of the lake from every room, which are roomy well furnished, clean and have their own balconies and en-suite facilities.
Its run by a family who are extremely welcoming, friendly and go out of there way to make you feel at home. Up until 10 years ago,the area spoke German as it used to be part of the South Tyrol which was Austria. As I speak German to a fairly good standard that made it easy for me to communicate with the other residents, who were German. However, the daughter Valentina who speaks English, spoke to us in English all the time, much to the relief of my husband :0) Breakfast is a continental buffet and the owner bakes his own bread, which is delicious. There is free WiFI and TV in the lounge but not in the bedrooms. Like most European hotels and B&B there are no Tv's or tea and coffee making facilities in the bedrooms. But Coffee tea and a small bar is available in reception and very reasonable. We paid 1euro for a cappuccino.
There is also an amazing swimming pool in the garden and most of the guests took advantage of it.
There is an hourly local tourist shuttle bus which runs from 9am-Midnight between Cassone and Malcesine which we used all the time rather than drive. The village has a beautiful harbour and stunning promenade walk to Malcesine. We would definitely go back !!
