Excellent accommodation to visit the center of Lecce
This B & B is located in the immediate vicinity of the center of Lecce that is easily accessible on foot, has a paid parking within walking distance and is equipped with very comfortable rooms with bathroom. The breakfast is both sweet and (especially) savory is very good and in summer can be eaten in the garden.

Disappointing stay
First of all, I would like to make a premise. I noticed that many negative reviews receive unfriendly responses from management, as if every criticism were a personal attack. A review should instead recount one's own experience, positive or negative, to help those who need to choose where to stay. The following observations are exclusively the account of our experience.
Positive aspects
* Very convenient location, a few minutes' walk from the historic center of Lecce.
* Room clean upon our arrival.
* Modern furnishings and property with good potential.
* Friendliness and helpfulness of the two ladies who took care of room management and breakfast.
Negative aspects
* The property is a guesthouse and not a B&B, which in our opinion should be communicated more clearly.
* The check-in is entirely automated via app. The idea may be valid, but only when it works. In our case, the app did not work and the procedure turned out to be long and complicated. In these situations, an alternative with in-person assistance should be provided.
* The room could use more maintenance. For example, the shower head holder was broken.
* The property does not have a private parking lot, an aspect to consider if arriving by car.
* Disappointing breakfast: at a cost of $15 per person, we expected a much wider selection. The selection was limited and some products were only available by paying a supplement, even though breakfast was already included in the price paid.
* Soundproofing practically absent. Every morning from 6:30, noises from the floor above could be heard clearly, including vacuum cleaners, chairs, and furniture being moved. Noises from other rooms are also easily heard.
* Poorly maintained garden. Maintenance of the greenery by a gardener and a few adjustments, such as a drying rack for each room to dry towels and swimsuits after the beach, would be sufficient.
Final considerations
Reading the numerous positive reviews, we had decidedly different expectations. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing overall. We hope that these observations are considered as suggestions for improving the service.

Incomprehensible that there are good reviews
Communication is terrible. Everything is done via Whatsapp. You can park close by for 15 euros a day, but before that they passed on a mobile number that was not in use. We tried WhatsApping and calling the number, but got the message that it was not in use. We reported this several times, but there was a reaction that it was correct.
To check in online and pay the city tax, you will receive emails from different addresses, even after you have already checked in. No one is present and everything is done through codes.
We had room 2 which is on the street side. Sleeping with an open window is almost impossible, because too many noises from the street and the pedestrians passing next to the window. The room is spacious, but when we entered it smelled like the mold that is on the bottom of the walls. We moved the seat next to the bed so that the wall could dry with mold behind it. Our friends in room 3 also had mold on the walls. The room was not clean: dirty floor and hair in the wardrobe. There was tap water in a bottle of mineral water with a dirty lime rim in it. I don't mind drinking tap water, but then present it in a carafe and not as if it were mineral water. The table and chairs in our room we did not dare to use because they were in such poor condition.
In the room and in the kitchen where breakfast is served, hang papers with house rules. very welcoming ass this not over.
The breakfast was absolutely nothing like the pictures in Google Maps. Coffee was not good and for a second bag you had to pay extra. The first day there was a carafe of fruit juice in which a bottom remained, the next day the same carafe was still there, not replenished. There was bread to toast, but no toaster. A basket with 1 packet of packed, musty toasts was also not replenished. Fresh cake, but watch out for that, because one morning it was inedible because of the excessive amonia used in it. The kitchen also did not come across neat and clean. The lady who provided breakfast was friendly.
The garden gave a neglected impression. On the terrace you had to pay attention, because there was also a sagging chair.

Thief!
Originally booked a room and was then contacted by the owner for a better deal if we paid by a deposit by bank transfer. On the way he said he had cancelled as he had not recived the payment. I decided to go elsewhere and asked my bank to check if the payment had been made and they said it had. I raised a request to the payment refunded and today it was confirmed that the owner has refused to do so. So although he said we hadn't paid, he has kept our money anyway! Unreliable thief!

Cozy and especially super clean rooms, genuine breakfasts, beautiful outdoor garden, a special goes to Annalisa and Ljubljana for being very kind and helpful about everything.
If we return to Lecce our choice will definitely be this BeB again!
