Good value hotel in ideal location .

Mio hotel is ideally located as only 3 stops from airport and 8 from centre of Florence. Our room had a balcony and bed was comfortable with nice shower . Breakfast was regularly replenished and fresh made cakes delicious. The reception team are amazing and super friendly. Darius and Andreas were very helpful and Susanna made us feel like we were family . The team are very knowledgeable regarding places to visit and we were especially appreciative in the very hot weather for Susanna’s recommendation of a local swimming pool where we spent a lovely day relaxing and keeping cool. We would highly recommend this hotel if you want to have good access to Florence and a reasonably priced hotel where you will feel like home from home .

Staff was pleasant, but hotel rooms were faulty and not up to general standards.

At first when we arrived, we were given a bed together despite stating we want two separate beds. That wouldn’t be too big of a problem, if the second option given to us was not a room completely full of cigarette smoke smell… the third option was, fortunately, an okay one. However, the hotel has many shortcomings.
The room we were given (accesible for those with disabilities) would not be adequate enough for a disabled person, due to the water from the shower practically drowning the entire bathroom. Although we are able-bodied, it was still a challenge not to slip.
The beds were okay, but our nights were frequently disturbed by the noise, caused by the thinness of the walls. Also, the AC was pretty loud.
Overall, the hotel is pretty old and needs a renovation — the lift is extremely small and slow, breakfast could use an upgrade (such as fruits).
Regardless, the area may not be in the city centre, but is pretty close by tram. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful. It is a shame that the hospitality and the hotel locality is overshadowed by so many unpleasant factors.

Moderate experience

The location of the hotel is definitely one of its strengths, as it is very close to the tram stop, which makes transportation to the center of Florence very easy. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
However, there were several points that disappointed us. The layers in the beds were especially uncomfortable, which affected the quality of our sleep. Also, the hotel’s sound insulation is very poor – the walls look too thin, resulting in clear noises from adjacent rooms or the hallway.
The breakfast was of moderate quality, without many choices and with basic products that did not stand out.
Overall, a simply satisfactory option if you give priority to the location, but there is significant room for improvement in terms of comfort and quiet.

My hotel

The staff is very friendly and the breakfast very plentiful.
It is also close to the tramway and with the T2 it takes less than 20 minutes to the centre.
The rooms were a little small but had everything you need; I recommend it to someone who wants to visit the city or is in Florence for work.

If you are going to stay for a short time, it will be ok…

Mio Hotel, which we chose online for the purpose of visiting Florence during our six-day trip to Italy, was the right choice in terms of ease of transportation to the city. You can easily park our car and reach the historical center of the city by tram. The hotel rooms are run-down in terms of furniture and comfort. The breakfast variety is poor. However, the reception staff were courteous and helpful. .Can be recommended due to its ease of transportation to the city center.
