Lovely spot. The pool was super busy on a Sunday with what I assume were local subscribers. We were only one of two rooms rented from what I could tell, but they put out a breakfasts spread worthy of 100 guests. The staff were kind and gentle with our non-existent Italian language skills.

Charming hotel in Sambuca di Sicilia

A charming hotel on the outskirts of town among vineyards and olive groves.
The best part of our stay was the delicious food and impeccable service offered in the dining room. Breakfast is a small buffet offering, fresh pastries, cakes and cookies, yogurts, fresh fruit and juices, and coffee.
Dinner offers a large array of options including seafood, pastas, steak, salads and vegetables.
The accommodations were fine and the beds comfortable but were light on bathroom amenities. Not very much space on the bathroom counter and the shower offered no hand held shower wand which made rinsing difficult.
The hotel seems to cater to large groups. This made sitting in the beautiful courtyard difficult as the space was often used for catered group events. The courtyard was also used for motorcycle parking for a biker event. Again, it was difficult to use the courtyard.
Lastly, there is an outdoor dog kennel located not too
far from the hotel. Sleeping was made difficult as dogs were barking throughout the night.
As there are few hotel options to stay in the area, this hotel will be just fine for a short stay. Just ask for a room away from the dog kennel.

Nice place , a bit dated and needs updating
But was short stay and convient.
Mattress could definitely be updated .

An oasis of relaxation

A cozy place with a restaurant and a very good Service, the rooms are large and clean with all comforts, the pool is well maintained.

Don Giovanni Hotel.

After a few years I returned to this structure located in a slightly hilly area, with a typically Sicilian panorama (vineyards, Lake Orange) and a beautiful terrace as well as an internal beam. Very clean and well equipped rooms (tv, minibar, air conditioning, safe) with adequate toilets (linen is changed daily). The pool is well maintained by the caretaker and there is a bar and toilet. Buffet breakfast with good choice of products and top class restaurant with great menu at reasonable prices. We spent two days relaxing (I disconnected the phone), always staying in the pool area. Excellence with taste and discretion.
