Average stay experience at Ginger Pondicherry

We recently checked into Ginger Hotel Pondicherry. The arrival experience wasn't great, staff requires proper training. The property looks very tired and old. The overall room condition is pretty bad and not up to Taj standards. Overall room condition needs very big attention. There was visible mold in the bathroom and chipped furniture in the room.
There were also multiple power trips and the TV had some issues as well. Being a hotelier myself, I expected better. Probably next time we may consider a better property with a minimum level of service delivery.
Not posting pictures, but I request management to conduct their own inspection. Improving the general upkeep and service will greatly enhance the guest experience and align with Taj brand expectations.
On a positive note, apart from the room condition, the breakfast experience was good and the staff were very friendly.

Poor standard Ginger Pondicherry

Location good, View from room is very bad.
Room and reception area smells weird. Ginger Mysore maintained very well, but Pondicherry Ginger is a waste. Food is same in breakfast everyday and not well presented, arranged. Washroom fitting was broken, not maintained and smells again very terrible. Cost effective but same price you can get better than this definitely. In entrance Ginger hotel name is even not written, other bar name was in entrance.
