Have a nice holiday in a welcoming hotel.

Small scale hotel. No high-rises.
We have been here 2 wk and had a great time. It is lkkr quiet there, mostly families or couples. Breakfast buffet was not grand but something for everyone and of good quality. Pool was pleasant. Plenty of beds, all with umbrella. The service was very good. At pool a bar where one can order food and drinks. Hotel has a piece of beach for its own guests available. Here too sunbeds with umbrellas. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The "center", a square, is within walking distance via a pedestrianized boulevard. Here you will find plenty of restaurants, taverns where you can eat / drink affordable.
In short....a nice holiday in a very welcoming hotel. Enjoyed it!

Very relaxing stay

Having seen the previous reviews we were not sure what we’d find, but we were very happy with our stay. Firstly the staff were lovely and friendly and we had no problem, always happy to assist us and have a chat. As usual trying a a few Greek words like kalimera and efharisto breaks the ice! The cleaning ladies were lovely.
The rooms are gradually being updated, we had an older one on the ground floor which was enough for us with hanging space for clothes and drawers for other items. The bathroom was manageable but had a small shower tray with curtains which could be awkward for some people however the water was nice and hot. The fridge was a nice size, clean and cold. The bed was comfortable but you can get a mattress topper from reception if required and the aircon was really good and worked really well. Wi fi was a bit hit and miss sometimes in the room.
Breakfast was very good with a small choice of hot food (hard boiled eggs, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, local bacon and small sausages), then a variety of cereals, cold meat and cheese, pastries, bread etc with the usual bread toaster, coffee machine and tea making. We did not go hungry and there was always plenty there.
The pool was excellent, big and clean with enough sunbeds. The seating area was nice and the bar had reasonable prices, it closed at seven in the evening. It was nice to look over at the sea which was just over a quiet bit of road, easy to have a quick dip whenever it got too hot. There was also a new paved road just being finished which took you parallel to the sea and into the main part of Skala Kallonis which was a ten minute walk. Skala Kallonis itself is very nice with a very relaxed vibe.
I would definitely stay here again both for the place and people but also for its fantastic situation.

A good stay in a quiet hotel

We have just come back from visiting this hotel and it’s a really nice place to relax. Firstly, the staff are really welcoming and friendly and the hotel is kept clean. They were great with our 2 boys couldn’t speak more highly of them. I also felt like all the guests were very respectful of each other and friendly too.
The hotel is situated in a small area but out of the way so it is quiet and a minute walk to the (stony) beach where the hotel has its own area. If you venture out into the town, the beach is less stony there so we spent our time on that part.
The adult swimming pool is a good size and has a shallow and very deep end. There’s also a kids pool where you can let them play without having to worry about them. Sun loungers were easy to come by or there’s some shaded areas near the restaurant bar. There’s also some games both inside and out to play so everyone can be entertained.
The breakfast options were the same every day, usual continental selections but was enough to keep everyone happy. We bought food from the local market for lunch which provided a cheap alternative to going out to eat.
There is one restaurant within a 10 minute walk and a square around 20 minutes with more restaurants to choose from, Caprice being a family favourite for us. Everything is a fair price - for a meal for 3 we paid around 50 euro including drinks.
There’s also an ice cream shop located in the square too with a good selection to choose from.
We walked past a children’s park on the way to and from the centre, which is open until 10pm so good for them to burn the last of their energy before sleep!
The room we had, we felt, was a bit dated and small. It lacked room for 2 adults and 2 children (bed, pull out bed and cot) and we ended up living out of the suitcases rather than unpacking as there wasn’t enough storage space. However we did manage for the week, we spoke to the staff who said they would try to do something for us but when we thought about it we didn’t want to move 4 suitcases and 2 kids around.
The bathroom/wet room, we were informed, was newly refurbished and was a good after a day on the beach or in the pool before heading out for food. We had a little patio area which allowed us to sit out at points and wasn’t noisy at all.
Overall I would recommend this hotel if you wanted some time to just relax without having much else planned, other people at the hotel hired cars to explore more of the island, but this was a great little hotel to get away for a week.

We highly recommend Kalloni Bay Hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday, genuine Greek hospitality, and the oppor

We had a wonderful stay at Kalloni Bay Hotel on the beautiful island of Lesbos, a holiday that left us with unforgettable memories and a strong desire to return. From the very first day, we were impressed by the warm hospitality of the hotel staff. Everyone welcomed us with genuine smiles, was kind, attentive, and always willing to help with recommendations for places to visit and seaside tavernas where we could enjoy authentic local cuisine. The peaceful and friendly atmosphere made us feel completely at home.
The hotel is located in an excellent area, just a short walk from the sea. Although it has a beautiful, clean swimming pool, we preferred spending our days at the beach and exploring the coastline. We rented a car and set off to discover the beauty of Lesbos. Every drive revealed breathtaking scenery: picturesque villages, endless olive groves, hidden bays, and stunning beaches with crystal-clear turquoise waters. We found both well-organized beaches, perfect for relaxing, and small secluded coves where the tranquility and natural beauty created unforgettable moments. Every stop was a pleasant surprise and another opportunity to admire the authentic charm of the island.
One of the highlights of our holiday was undoubtedly the food. Every evening we chose a different taverna by the sea, where we enjoyed truly exceptional dining experiences. The fresh fish and seafood, prepared according to traditional Greek recipes, were simply outstanding. Sardines, anchovies, gilt-head bream, sea bass, grilled octopus, calamari, and shrimp, seasoned with local olive oil, fresh lemon, and aromatic herbs, were all incredibly fresh and full of authentic Mediterranean flavor. Dining just a few steps from the water, with the gentle sea breeze, spectacular sunsets, and the warm hospitality of the taverna owners, made every dinner a truly memorable experience.
Lesbos is an island that perfectly combines breathtaking natural beauty, rich Greek traditions, and the genuine hospitality of its people. Our stay at Kalloni Bay Hotel offered everything we were looking for: relaxation, beautiful landscapes, and outstanding culinary experiences. We returned home with unforgettable memories and the certainty that we will gladly come back to this charming island in the future.

Relax and Unwind Heaven

Had a wonderful stay at the Kalloni Bay Hotel in July 2026. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and at ease. The property is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Staff couldn't do enough for you. The pool area is a massive highlight, featuring a beautiful, clean pool and a great pool bar.It is just a short walk to the must-visit bars and restaurants in the village square. Pro tip: Definitely hire a car. Public transport and excursions are rare here, so your own wheels are essential. I would absolutely return!
