Lovely hotel with stunning views
The hotel is spacious and never had an issue getting a sun bed .
Room was very clean and tidy and adequate for our needs . . Then there was the view from our room .. stunning !.
Bars and fantastic tavernas are a stone throw away ,
One disappointment was that the pool bar and the pool can get very busy with locals using it , we waited ages for our drinks at times ( as we were the paying guests its a shame there is not a split bar ) .
We will return .

The hotel has a great pool and a lovely beach
The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable, and the hotel holds a high standard.
What made the stay special was the good service at the reception. Themelina and Fotini did their very best for us to have a nice stay. They were always smiling, helpful and welcoming, making sure we felt well taken care of.
We highly recommend Plaza Beach Resort and will be happy to come back!

Stunning location, amazing views.
For location it cannot be beaten. Set above Massouri Beach the hotel has stunning views from the sea view rooms over to the neighbouring island of Telendos. Down a few steps (or ramp) into the reception: This was spacious and airy with a large seating area to the left and the dining room where breakfast is served. The reception and check is straightforward and the reception staff are friendly and helpful. On this level the hotel has a full open air veranda for al fresco breakfast with stunning views.
The rooms feature on 3 levels 2 below and 1 above reception.
The room we occupied during our stay was on level -2. It had a sea view and the receptionist informed us that this was one of the newly refurbished rooms.
It had electronic access and when you put your key in the slot to turn on the lighting a green light lit up on the panel beside the door in the corridor. You could also inform the cleaning staff that your room was empty using the same system when a red light illuminated.
The room itself was large, bright with sliding door access to a large balcony - again with the views. The layout was minimalist, with a quirky arrangement. It had a separate toilet, next to it was a wet room shower. The sink however was in the room itself nest to the door the hairdryer was also located here. There were 2 small cupboards, one contained the refrigerator, for those coming from the UK, there was no kettle (the could be hired but we brought our own). Across from the bed (firm but surprisingly comfortable) was a long shelf with the TV above; there was also hanging space and a few shelves for clothing and the safe was also located here. The room were cleaned everyday and the towels changed daily.
The hotel has a large pool area and a smaller area with an infinity type pool. On the pool level is a snack bar with plenty of seating. There was no problem getting a sunbed if you like to lie at the pool. The snack bar closed at 6 pm and the pool at 7pm for the convenience of guests. The hotel does not offer lunch or evening meals.
Down a flight of steps off the pool area brings you to the beach - the beach is itself is a mix of dark sand/pebble; the hotel has their own section of sunbeds which are free to guests (every resident guest gets am armband) and they have a beach bar/food service. These guys must walk miles everyday up and down the steps bringing drinks and snacks to the sun worshippers - this was a positive point for me.
The breakfast was the usual continental mix to suit the clientele, cold buffet style meats and cheeses, hot choices, eggs, bacon and small frankfurter sausages, cereals and fresh fruits/yoghurt. It was not expansive but it was fine for what it was.
It is obvious that this hotel is going through a major refurbishment and they have focussed on the pool and the floor we stayed on.
The hotel allows non guests to use the pool and the beach sunbeds for a small charge and at times there were more non-guests using the pool and on the beach. It so happened that our stay coincided with the start of the Greek holidays in August, if you know anything about the Greeks they come mob handed, so you had large extended family groups dominating the pool and it was a big noisy especially on weekends. We are not pool lovers, so this did not bother us too much and having been to Greece many times we knew what it would be like. The beach was a relative sanctuary, with the clear waters to cool you down when the temp hits 36°C.
The resort of Massouri itself is basically a main street with a variety of eateries. The traffic is constant and parking is at a premium. This is a big centre for rock climbing and this small place has at least 6 outdoor clothing stores catering for enthusiasts. The prices are not cheap.
I mentioned the small island of Telendos, a 10 min ferry ride from Myrties (a twenty minute easy stroll from the Plaza). Well worth it, beautiful, tranquil with stunning scenery.
Get the local bus into the port city of Pothia (were all the ferries arrive into) it was bustling, lovely seafront cafes and the usual souvenir shops.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday at the Plaza.
