This hotel is located in a great area of old town. Right by the walking street, restaurants, rental store fronts. It was super convenient. The place was very clean and charming and the staff was super helpful too!

Wouldn’t return

Unfriendly receptionists, he barely looks up! Rude and unhelpful
Room is more like a grotty out of date bedsit, not clean no facilities ie kettle etc. would not return!
Pool area is quite nice but limited staff for service.

This hotel is not 4 star. It's a 2 or 3 at best. The decor is shabby and old fashioned and it needs an upgrade.
The cleanliness is average. It could be a lovely hotel with some upgrades to decor. The pool was nice but needed a good clean. Breakfast was basic. The room was shabby but the air con worked well. There were lamps but no plugs and the lights worked intermittently. The water in the room was low pressure and sometimes the shower was cold. The bed was comfy though. The staff were not particularly friendly but a couple were nice especially the night reception gent. The location is fab though, right in the centre of the town so very easy access to the town. We had a car and there is no parking and needed to walk around 10 - 15 minutes per day back to hotel, which wasn't a major issue but would be more difficult with kids / mobility issues. It's a very good base for Lefkada and we spent most days travelling around the island which is one of the best places we have ever been. The island is truly stunning. We won't be back to the hotel unless the price was significantly cheaper.

A mixed affair

The positives - the receptionist who was present on the evening until the early hours was very welcoming and we had a pleasant half an hour at the bar with him after returning from town when he helped us learn some Greek words and told us lots about Greek way of life.
Other than the central location that really is the only positive.
We were pleased to gain access to the pool area prior to check in, the pool wasn't particularly clean and I had to go to reception to ask for service at the bar (the lady receptionist was also very helpful.
The first room the door didn't lock, we were moved without question to a room without pillowcases, this was rectified quickly too. Luggage store is an unused room without a door near the front entrance. You will need to bring toiletries and we were only provided with 2 sachets of shower gel.
The noise from neighbouring establishments didn't quiet until 4am, this is not too unexpected in a central town location.
The attitude of the morning receptionist as well documented on here, is shocking. We had booked breakfast having booked directly with them, despite having the invoice to hand (he was so indignant he fetched a big binder) he denied it had the word breakfast on it. I'm sure his English is better than my Greek but other than pointing to the word breakfast several times I didn't know what to do. I have never had a hotel employee be so dismissive. He eventually relented and said we could have breakfast. Which was a sad affair - we didn't expect much for the price.
The location could not be beaten but the customer service of this one employee really does let the team down.

Stunning disappointment

We went there for 2 nights with my school. In some rooms it was as if they had not been cleaned, the hallways were completely dirty. The staff was polite but until there I do not recommend it.
