We love !!! Super central.

We loved our stay at Doors Meiden Tbilisi.
The service is very special, especially from Natalie who is a charm of person.
The room we stayed in, the 204, was sensational! It had a window overlooking the Cathedral and the Trinity Church. The cathedral at night, lit, is sensational.
From the other window, we saw the domes of the Armenian Cathedral and the cable car.
The bed was delicious.
The bathroom small but super ok.
Cleaning was done daily.
The old town is right there. The hotel is at the center of everything!!
I recommend, if you have mobility problems, ask fit on the 1st floor.
We love !!!

A little gem in the old town

I've stayed in this small boutique hotel for 4 nights. I had a great experience as the room was very cozily and the staff very nice. The location is excellent, exactly in the middle of the old town, close to everywhere.
The only negative point is that I stayed in a room close to the reception and sometimes I could hear some noise, but nothing that would annoy me. For sure I'd return to the place

Great People, Location and Rooms

While eating breakfast at a fine boutique hotel in Baku at twice Doors Meidan’s price point, I had the good luck to sit next to an older, American couple who had just come from Tbilisi and loved this hotel. I really enjoyed my three night stay there, then returned for another stay after touring Georgia.
The hostesses, Manana and Lika speak good English and Russian, and are always ready to help — from being available for a 1 am check in, to getting usually difficult reservations at restaurants with Georgian dance, to recommending local swimming pools and arranging transport to Yerevan with stops at key monasteries in the north.
The rooms in what seems to be a 19th century house are spacious and well decorated in an “artsy” way. I stayed in both the triple and the quadruple one floor up (each with separate sun rooms with good city views), and then a double on the second floor with a beautiful view of the castle. Each room was comfortable, and I really felt “at home”. People with mobility issues might prefer the first floor up, as the second staircase is steep (shallow steps).
The location is perfect for tourism, in the heart of the old town yet quiet, a bit less than 100 meters up a gentle slope from Meidan square, where there are many tour operators offering reasonably priced day trips throughout Georgia.
To one’s immediate right upon walking down the hill from the hotel is an excellent Georgian restaurant with a long terrace on the square, that is packed with customers for good reason from breakfast through late night, with very good food and low prices. Great place to stay and a very good value.

DO NOT STAY HERE - THEIFS

I stayed here for three nights recently and the whole experience from start to finish was awful! I have never experienced such rude staff members anywhere!! We called prior to our stay telling her that we was arriving at 6 am so we wanted early check in and of course there was a charge of 50 dollars when we arrived she told us that she had no record that we wanted early check in and wasn’t aloud a room until 12 we said we would pay for another room for just the few hours before but she wouldn’t let us without an argument, after 30 minutes she let us finally put our bags down with a charge. On our last day 600 pounds was stolen from my hotel bag, when reported stolen she told me I was a liar and that it wasn’t possible! I told her that it could have possibly been the cleaners or even herself with the way she was acting, she then shouted at me and told me numerous times in was lying. All I wanted her to do was check the CCTV but she wouldn’t do that, I said I want nothing from this I’m not asking for the money back just that there was money stolen and I want her to find out who stole it she was not co-operative. This was my first trip to Georgia and this has now left a bitter taste to ever visiting again!! I have never met a more abrupt rude lady to be working in a hotel industry!!! Do not stay here.

Perfect if youre in Old Tbilisi

On the day of check in, I arrived quite early in the morning and had booked another hostel in advance so as to check in here om time in the afternoon. Unfortunately, the previously booked hostel doors were closed for me(another review).
I came to Doors meidan hours before check in, at around 7am. The kind Monana opened the door and welcomed me in for a cup of coffee. Hours later, I decided to head out as Monana told me to leave my luggages there and I can come back with my room prepared for me.
This homey gesture is rarely seen in such accommodation(or perhaps based on my experience).
The hotel is in an alley leading to the meidan square. Just a few minutes walk to famous landmarks and restaurants in old tbilisi.
On the ground floor is the kitchen/dining area which will keep your eyes busy bouncing from colorful doors used as wall decoration, the vintage displays on almost every corner to the simple wooden chairs and table.
On the 1st floor/entrance level, had some rooms, a common toilet and the reception. The 2nd floor, where my room was, has a window that opened to an amazing view of Tbilisi. The floor, decorated with a beautiful kilim carpet, is a bit creaky as it is made of wooden planks. Try to walk or lessen the noise so as not to disturb other guests too. Same goes to the wall as you can hear the next room or people walking outside the room in the hallway. Its fine though, it's not that noisy and definitely won't keep you from having a good night's rest. The bed and pillows were so comfortable that you might have a hard time getting up in the morning especially with the cold weather. There's an old dresser with mirror(a foldable one so you can close it when not in use) on one side of the bedroom wall. A closet with hangers and safe inside, a small fridge with drinks, a percolator, a pair of disposable slippers, basic kitchenware, bath and hand towels. The toilet is old fashion with a modern touch design, has toiletries, water heater, tissue, a towel heating rack but no bidet.
I left some places I havent visited yet in Tbilisi. Surely, the next time I go back, I would love to stay in the same hotel with hospitable staff.(English speakers too!)
