A wonderful stay

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, both in terms of location and amenities. It is spotlessly clean and well-organised, and all the staff are lovely to their guests. We booked a family suite, and from the moment we arrived to a warm welcome at Reception, we were impressed by the thoughtful details: a note addressing us personally; a plate of tasty snacks; minibar gratis; clean bowls, bed and treats for our dog. The room was spacious, the linen crisp and comfortable. We found the storage ample and we slept very well. The private patio with jacuzzi was a sunny spot where we whiled away our afternoons in comfort and peace and quiet, just meters away from the hotel's stunning swimming pool and spa, complete with outdoor furniture positioned perfectly to relax when we'd finished swimming. The beach is one of the nicest we have visited, wide and soft, and from which we assume this boutique hotel takes its name...

Dear AudreycQ2934PA,
Thank you so much for this wonderful and detailed review.
We are absolutely delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that the many little touches prepared for your family — including the welcome note, treats, complimentary minibar, and special amenities for your dog — helped make your arrival and stay feel truly special.
It is a pleasure to know that you appreciated the comfort and spaciousness of your family suite, as well as the private jacuzzi patio and our pool and spa facilities. And of course, our beautiful beach remains one of the greatest treasures of the Grand Large!
Your kind words about our team mean a great deal to us. We will be delighted to share your feedback with everyone, as it is a wonderful recognition of their care and attention to detail.
Thank you again for choosing Le Grand Large. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you and your family — including your four-legged companion — back very soon for another peaceful seaside escape.
Warm regards,
Casal

PERFECT

We stayed for 2 days on our trip to Brittany and the feeling we are leaving with really could not be better. Upon our arrival, we were already attended to with great efficiency and kindness by the person at the front desk, but then our surprise was huge when we arrived at the room and found a welcome note in Spanish, a gesture we appreciate. All of the above was a prelude to what came next: a super clean room, efficient room service, exceptional breakfast, staff attentive to the slightest indication, and an impressive dinner at the restaurant. In short, it is a hotel that, along with an unbeatable location because it is just 100 m from a very pleasant beach, has a team of people who work together—it goes without saying—directed by an expert hand, which makes the stay at the hotel for the guest unbeatable, and they certainly achieve it. Regarding the price-quality ratio, the important thing is to effectively receive what you are paying for, and at this hotel, that rule is fulfilled to perfection. Congratulations to the entire team.

Peaceful escape

Staff were delightful and very helpful .
The rooms were spotless . I’d prefer proper toiletries rather than large dispensers .
Location was wonderful - right on the beach & views from roof top were stunning .
Breakfast was good not exceptional …. And I like coffee served to the table but I know self service is preferred by some .
The pool and gym were very nice - sadly masseuse was off sick but they did find a replacement we were just unable to fit in .
It was a very peaceful relaxing break which is just what we were looking for . It was our 2nd visit to this lovely island .

Dear E5085Elpaulinek,
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience.
We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere you were looking for, as well as our beachfront location, the stunning rooftop views, and our wellness facilities. It is also wonderful to know that you found your room spotless and that our team helped make your stay enjoyable through their attentiveness and hospitality.
Thank you as well for your constructive feedback regarding the bathroom amenities and breakfast service. We truly value comments such as yours, as they help us better understand our guests' preferences and continue improving the experience we offer.
We are sorry that our regular massage therapist was unexpectedly unavailable during your stay. Although we were pleased to find a replacement at short notice, we regret that the timing did not work out on this occasion.
It is especially rewarding to know that your stay provided the peaceful escape you were seeking and that you chose to return to beautiful Oléron Island for a second visit.
We sincerely hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Le Grand Large for another relaxing seaside getaway.
