Perfect!
- perfect location for walking to the City
- very clean, well-maintained, and renovated hotel. The entire staff is truly very helpful, pleasant, and kind. Attentive to every need

We had a superior room that was really large, clean, and very well-appointed.
We find that this establishment makes a lot of effort to ensure that everything goes well
Only small downside is the lack of shade in the parking lot

Pros and Cons
As many others have noted, the Mercure's proximity to La Cité is excellent, being an easy few minutes' walk. Our room had air conditioning, seemed quite clean, parking is ample and easy (certainly not always a given in old cities), and our standard room was tastefully, if spartanly, appointed.
Our standard king room was extremely cramped, with no place to put anything. It was too small for any "real" furniture; only one built-in luggage rack/seat, two small barrel-shaped metal stools to serve as night stands, a small stool, and one small, metal tea-sized table. There was no room for a chair, dresser, or desk, a place for just one suitcase, and no place except the floor to put the extra pillows decorating the bed. Certainly not the case for other rooms, our safe happened not to work. A nice young man came up from reception but was unable to repair it. The partial glass shower enclosure made it impossible not to spray all over the floor no matter how careful we were and we had to mop it up with towels after each use. This standard room setup might be difficult for elderly visitors.
For the price, we were expecting at least a little more elbow room. We certainly got by, but the hotel's location is its selling point.

Reasonable hotel ,ideal for castle visit
Stayed for one night on a Sunday. I shared a twin bedroom ground floor room with patio door onto the garden and courtyard. Room was fine but not very big. TV tea and coffee provided and pleasant bathroom with a powerful shower. Hotel has a pleasant lounge area and the restaurant is bright and nice. Food in the restaurant was very good and cost for three courses was excellent. Breakfast was also nice with an excellent choice of both hot and cold items. Some of the breads were superb. Most of the staff very pleasant except the night gentleman who told our party of six to be quiet as he was on a phone call behind the bar. Other than that no complaints and hotel in ideal location to visit the castle. Word of advise the town is like a ghost town on Sunday evening from about 5.30pm on first weekend of March with no restaurants seeming to be open.

An overall very pleasant stay.
We had an excellent stay at this hotel.
The hotel's location is ideal, the parking is appreciated, the staff is very welcoming and professional, and the cleanliness was impeccable throughout the establishment.
The room was very comfortable and well-kept, only small regret: the deliberate absence of a minibar, presented as an ecological measure…
Regarding breakfast, the coffee/hot water machine was unfortunately broken during our stay.
We also felt the staff was a bit overwhelmed, probably understaffed, but it must be emphasized that the two employees remained friendly and smiling throughout the service.
Despite these minor inconveniences, the overall experience remains very positive and we will have very fond memories of this stay.

Friendly helpful staff, well located for exploring the castle. Room was dark as on ground floor, couldn't open blind due to privacy and no ceiling light. Bathroom was tired with loose fittings and repairs not finished.sink slow to drain.
