Fantastic position with fabulous views.
Great location near the old town and castle.

We spent one night here on 30th August and regretted not staying longer. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and great views of the citadel ramparts. The hotel is at the famous Narbonne gate entrance to the citadel and we had a wonderful time with family and friends in Place Marcou. We will definitely return at a future date.

We loved some things about this hotel, but found that there were a few things lacking in a 4 star experience:
The good:
- The room was clean
- Having both a bath and separate shower was a bonus
- My partner had a massage and facial at the spa and thought it was lovely
- The pool area was lovely and not busy at all during our stay
- The daytime reception staff were lovely
- The location, right outside of the gate to the cite was excellent
The bad:
- I would expect a small fridge in the room to cool drinks. It was 30°C outside and it would have been helpful to be able to take some cold water out with us whilst exploring Carcassonne
- I would expect a 4 star hotel with spa and pool to provide a robe and slippers for guests to use
- The night manager/barman was rather short with both ourselves and other guests
- The breakfast was not of a standard I would expect. Only one type of unflavoured yoghurt, the pastries were ok, a very small selection of fruit. Coffee at breakfast in a 4 star hotel should be unlimited. We had it included in our room rate (thanks Expedia) but would have been disappointed if I'd paid 18 euro for it.
- We had to remove half a dozen wasps from the jacuzzi before using it
Would I stay here again? Probably, but only if I could get a good rate and I wouldn't pay for breakfast.

Great location

This hotel sits just outside one of the entrances to Carscaonne. Lovely bar area overlooking city walls. Breakfast was fine, served rather than buffet. Bolied eggs and pastries. Room very dark but would have been ok had our aircon worked...it didnt. Clearly some central fault as rooms 1 and 2 stopped working in tandem. Didnt appreciate being told off for touching the controller...which was exactly what we were told to do on check in to work the aircon. Female staff were charming, male staff need some training (the aircon discussion wasnt the only dismmissive encounter we had.) Easy parking.
