The hotel description of the rooms are misleading as room's with a river do not have a view of the river only a wall and road

Beautiful hotel idealy situated for the ancient town of Amboise. We had the quadruple room which , with two teenage boys, meant that we had one room that was conveniently separated into two.
Really clean, comfortable beds and very pleasant staff.
Breakfast was expensive with only under 12s getting a discount and even then not much. Lots of cafes and boulangeries where we got breakfast and lunch for less than the breakfast.
Also a little disappointing that the bar was closed but again, by being so close to the town centre it wasn't much of an inconvenience.
Would definitely stay again.

Great place

Our stay at Hotel Bellevue was everything we hoped for. Staff was cheerful and anxious to please. Our room was spacious, with views of the castle and river. All the amenities we needed were available and as long as I can take a shower without flooding the floor, I'm happy. There was a nice elevator that always arrived promptly. The breakfast was varied and generous. The location works well for Amboise with entrances on the street as well as the quiet backstreet. It's well-situated for visiting the castle and walkable Clos de Luce and the riverfront. It's an easy walk across the river to other activities, bars, etc... I would stay here again.

Lovely place in great location close to main area of town and chateau. Spacious room for Europe. Importantly had great AC in our room. Free Parking on street in front of hotel was available most of the time.

Good location, comfortable bedroom and bathroom, AC, but public areas very tired and the lift out of order. Nice breakfast
