Broken down misrepresentation of hotel resort
TERRIBLE check in experience,
I’d like to express my family’s deep expressions of disappointment and anger at our experience in checking in to this hotel. We were initially greeted professionally by the front desk clerk who proceeded to check us in. Ultimately she requested a deposit of 1000 PHP purportedly to cover consumables from the mini bar. This is despite the fact we prepaid more than 40000 PHP to cover the cost of the room. We explained to her that we do not wish to pay that deposit and if they were worried about us consuming anything they should remove any consumables. She didn’t agree with this and informed us it was the hotel policy for us to pay that. I requested to speak with a manager and she called someone.
Upon speaking with someone who represented herself as a member of the management team I reiterated my opposition. This person essentially repeated what the front desk person said and I restated my objections. This person ultimately stated she will communicate with someone of higher authority and call back. While waiting for the return call we were approached by a woman who stated her name was Fatima and she was the supervisor of the front desk staff. She restated the same talking points as the previous two personnel then told us if we did not pay the deposit we should leave the hotel and no refund would be forthcoming. When I stated that we were awaiting the manager to call back she told us we could wait all night and forever but we were not checking in to her hotel and feel free to leave thus forfeiting our entire payment for the entire seven days. We ultimately paid the deposit under duress that we were getting robbed of our 40000 PHP.
Upon checking in we were shown a substandard room with a broken balcony, rust stained glass, door , and an essentially moldy lodging experience. Please feel free to free to view various pictures I’ve taken of the room, balcony and overall facilities. I feel this hotel has dramatically misrepresented the facilities and guest services.

The breakfast was just ok, lower than average one you see in the hotels / resorts. The menu options are very limited. The size of fruit plate included in the menu is good for a kid but not the adult. The room was with a garden view. The resort is in very poor maintenance condition: peeling off paint all around, rusty room doors and frames, power outages three times a day, terrible internet speed.

Decent hotel with a quiet location
My wife and I had a pretty decent stay at this hotel recently. The deluxe garden view room we used was very nice and modern--and the a/c worked well despite the fact that it was on auto-mode the whole time so you can't change the temp at all. The manager and front desk staff were all friendly and took care of our needs. The hotel is near a sari-sari store, a few restaurants and bars but far from the main nightlife and shopping center (centro) so we had to take a tuk-tuk there. OK the things we did not like are: poor or no wifi in rooms, the back beach area is non-swimmable so you will have to be content with the pool (which is nice), the restaurant is not the best as sometimes they did not have everything on the menu. It's about 45 mins from the airport but the hotel location provides you with a more peaceful environment away from the busier and noisier areas near centro. Beware of the many dogs hanging out in the hotel area (just don't mess with them so they won't mess with you :)
