To come back again and again

It is the second time we stayed at the Casona and we would repeat without hesitation. Quiet, family Mood and spectacular treatment of the owners and workers. Old rooms, well decorated and with all the necessary amenities. Full buffet lunch with traditional local products. Very reasonable price with the amenities offered. Fully recommended!

A 17th century house in a place without tourist crowd but well located

4 years ago, we did not come to the Casona de la Salceda in Treceño (Cantabria) and it has been a real pleasure to meet again the kindness and good work of Maria and José Luis, who always make us feel at home. A large and spacious room, a very rich breakfast and an ideal garden to relax with a gin and tonic and a book and without passing heat! And in a beautiful renovated 17th century house. Thank you for these very good times!

Memorable vacation

A beautiful staycation place. They have free Wi-Fi and people who assisted us speak good English. The home is beautiful and our room very well spacious. Breakfast was included. No issues with security. There are restaurants to choose. We had a blast.

A Stopover from the ferry to Santander

We stopped over for only a night but there's plenty to do in the area if you plan to stay. The hostess spoke excellent English, the accommodation could not be faulted - a lovely old house well renovated, a tranquil spot just off the road in a town with restaurants, bars and shops. Great breakfast and a comfy large double.

Highly recommend

We are cycling from santander to santiago. This accommodation was great. Maria and her husband are just lovely and Maria spoke excellent english to make up for our terrible spanish (we try but...!). The home is beautiful and our room very well appointed. A great breakfast was included. Maria kindly stored our bikes so we had no issues with security. The village itself doesn't have much but it's quaint and there are at least 3 restaurants to choose from within a short stroll. We really enjoyed our stay and found our hosts very very kind.
