Quiet, clean and wonderful views of the Nile. We regret that we did not stay any longer.

Also visit Elephantine before leaving for Nile cruises
The rooms and common spaces are very nice and comfortable. Absolute cleanliness.
Good breakfast on the terrace: set menu but with the possibility of expressing preferences, which are requested the evening before. Wonderful view of the Nile. In the winter months it can get cold on the terrace early in the morning, so it is necessary to cover up a little.
The Italian-Egyptian family who manages the structure (and lives there) is courteous and helpful.
From Aswan the island can be reached by a ferry that leaves right from the pier where cruise ships dock. To give directions to the taxi driver who takes you to the ferry, the pier is Siou Side, near the Kentucky Fried Chicken.
The ferry is safe and cheap, the crossing is very quick (10 min), the trips are frequent. Then you need to take a short walk to the Nubian Lotus, crossing the quiet village (unpaved roads).
If you prefer, the hotel organizes private boat transfer and/or pick up from the airport.

Personalized experience in a Nubian village across the river from noisy Aswan
Our room overlooked the Nile with a shared balcony. We had cold air conditioning, lots of hot water, great wifi, a comfortable bed, and a frig in the room. All of this at a very budget price.
We were worried a bit about travelling to and from its location on Elephantine Island, but Osama, the co-owner, picked us up at a dock on the Aswan side and took us directly to the hotel's own dock. We did not touch our luggage from the time it left our car till we saw it in our room.
Travel back and forth to Aswan was super easy with the public ferry (cost 5 LE each) functioning from 0600 till midnight, and with the guest house only a 5-10 minute walk across the island to the ferry dock. We never waited more than 15 minutes for the ferry.
We took most of our evening meals at the guest house, with Marta, the co-owner, serving us drinks and appetizers on the rooftop while we watched the sun go down over the Nile and the West Bank. She prepared fabulous pasta and Italian style pizzas.
Our laundry was done for us while we were there.
When we were ready to leave, Osama took us early to get to the waiting car, and we again did not have to touch our luggage from our room till we got back to Cairo.
