Total neglect and lack of respect
I was stuck in the bathroom for two hours, I had to cut off the screen from the window and and I was screaming for help for two hours, no one came to help me. Thanks to the guests I was able to get out and get help. The hostel refused to offer me another room or even the transportation to the city, which is quite far away. I was not offered a glass of water, I was having a panic attack. They still insisted that they lost money with my cancellation, demonstrating a lot of lack of empathy. I've never been so disrespected in my life. I do not recommend to women who travel alone.

Overall a Top Option in Banos
of ways to get there and back via private taxi or bus.
I also had four nights in Banos and looked at other options while I was there and definitely came away feeling this was the best place to stay. Large clean new rooms with robe and hair dryers and balcony plus lots of good common space inside and out to relax.
What people wrote about the restaurant is true. It’s not the cheapest and they won’t let you bring in food from outside nor do they have a kitchen. Not even free coffee and tea.
They do have mountain bikes you can rent there for riding to the waterfalls starting you 5km closer which is nice.
Finally I want to thanks Mariano for the excellent service. Mariano even lent me his phone to watch Wimbledon on when people were watching Futbol on the TV. He was also very helpful with helping me to resolve a billing miscommunication with the administration. Going to them several times until it was appropriately resolved.

Conviviality in a beautiful setting
The setting is superb and the waterfalls to see right next to the hotel.
Friendliness with the swimming pool, the jacuzzi, the bar, the hammocks, the music, the ping-pong table, the volleyball net, mountain bike rental.
Calm, since the staff asks that there not be too much noise late.
The different possible activities, including canyoning and rafting with a very good agency.
The breakfast bread is excellent.
There is filtered water available.
It's outside Banos, so you either have to take a taxi ($2 to $3), or take the bus (until 7 p.m. only) downstairs and on the way back up the steep hill.
But it is possible to dine on site and that is the price of this exceptional setting.
