Excellent location to the entrance of the Great Wall. Very welcoming owners nice, ancient charming courtyard. Extremely tasty home cooked dumpling soup for breakfast.

I had an incredible experience stay at the Great Wall Old Courtyard Ancient Inn. The hosts were very friendly, prepared a breakfast for me and the following day accompanied me right up to the main road intersection leading to the Badaling Great Wall. Would recommend anyone who wish to stay near the Great Wall to stay here.

Excellent hotel for an over-night stay either before or after visiting the Great Wall. It is located in an old town with a few restaurants and shops within walking distance from the hotel. There is tea making facility in the courtyard for one to relax and enjoy the peaceful surrounding of the courtyard. Furthermore, it has very spacious bedrooms and bathrooms.. The people who ran the hotel were very welcoming and they offered great advice on what to expect with visiting the Great Wall and other local attractions. Overall. it was an amazing experience to stay in a courtyard hotel in a charming old town. Would certainly recommend people for an overnight stay here when visiting the Great Wall rather than just take a day trip from Beijing.

Lovely hostel that is very close to the Great Wall entrance, simple, clean and different. I would always come back.
You can arrive late and call for service. But 24h reception is a bit exaggerated.
