Prime location

It's located in the center of the city, just a walking distance to rest of the popular site.
Hotel staff are friendly, nice food, nice ambiance. It's worth to spend time in Lijang and visit so many beautiful place.

Nice Piece of old Lijiang

We a family of four with children ages 13 and 10, enjoyed our stay at the Liwang. The decor was very much old Lijiang. The location was excellent, being in the old part of town but in a quiet section away from the hustle and bustle. Lots of restaurants and shops located nearby. The breakfast is targeted more toward Chinese clientele, and was a bit lacking in variety. In short its probably a 2-3 star hotel. We very much liked staying here.

Luke Warm Hotel

This hotel is just inside the old town of Lijiang and looks quite impressive from outside. Great place to stay if exploring the city. We had a porter take our bags from the bus into the city and to hotel. Check in was handled promptly. Unfortunately, we were on the first floor and there is no elevator.
The room was comfortable and the air con was well used as it was cold.
The main complaint was the lack of cold water for a shower. Had to run the shower for 5 min to get lukewarm water.
Breakfast was buffet;same each morning and very little choice for western style food, just toast and eggs.

Room overlooking back of loud restaurant

This would have been a pleasant hotel except that the room we were given overlooked a very loud restaurant. We asked to move but they were renovating and so many of the room were out of action. Staff not very helpful at all and couldn't speak English. If you come back when the renovations are finished it would be pleasant. Get a room inside which would be quieter. Courtyards pleasant. Just in old town but still a 20 min walk to the other end of the old town.

Good Hotel for what zou pay

Verz easy acces, as the big Parking on the South Gate for the ones who come with the own car, is close.
Very helpful staff, just ask for what you want and you get it. *Better if zou speak mandarin ....
The Hotel, considering the rate you pay, good and clean. Ask for a room to the inner garden, it is quiet.
Very happy stay.
