This review is worth your read before booking this place!! Save your money.

This place deserves negative stars and the staff are terrible people. To begin, the lady at the front desk is unfriendly and rude. She first told us, “if you want a refund, we do not offer them”. We arrived at our cabin (cabin 5) late at night and noticed some things, but we were willing to turn a blind eye; bugs on the floor and in the shower, makeshift blinds; a bounty paper towels and period pads holding them up. We were going to let this go and laughed it off. So we went to bed, but when we woke in the daylight we realized how filthy the cabin was. The floors were so black we had to leave our slippers and socks! The bed sheets smelled of must and mold. My sister had to take her puffer for asthma multiple times throughout the duration of our stay. There was also no hot water to shower and properly wash dishes. I will attach pictures - it was gross and maybe not even cleaned since previous guests. Not pictured is the mold, and the horribly musty smell, and to top it all off, maggots in the shower drain! When it was time for us to BBQ, ours did not work. We tried the cabin next door - no luck. Lastly we tried the communal BBQ and it was too dirty and infested with bugs ( attached photo of dead bugs). We called the front desk, and the man who owns Memotree came to “fix” our BBQ. When he arrived we also mentioned the other problems encountered (dirt, bugs, smell). He continued to walk around to multiple cabins (probably 4-5 different cabins) and none of them worked! Clearly not well maintained and he blamed the filth of the communal BBQ on the previous guests instead of taking accountability. After waiting 45+ minutes he finally brought us a BBQ that worked. He then said he was going to “solve the cleaning problem”. We expected a sensible fix but this was far from that. He left and came back with a woman who “cleans” the cabins. They brought a bunch of chemical cleaners, expecting us to pause eating our BBQ, wake our 7-month-old baby and get out. We explained this was not the “fix” we expected and it was unacceptable. We expected the cabin to be cleaned prior to arrival! After back and forth, and no accountability, the lady who cleans began laughing at us and being extremely unprofessional. When we said this was not okay and very rude, they told us we should just get out. They raised their voices at us and treated us like we were not paying customers. Of course we could not get out as the baby was already asleep and everywhere else was booked. We travelled 7 hours to be treated like this and paid over $600 for two nights in this dump! Save your time, money, and health. The owners will never take accountability - take a look at their responses to guests who express concern in their reviews. This place is a dump that has potential to be nice with new ownership!

Bad management and rundown cabins

Was extremely over priced. The cabin we rented was extremely rustic. Musty smell. The one door would not close. The bathroom lock was broken. We were not allowed to use the restaurant as it was "closed" just the people on buses were allowed to use it. The pool had dead bugs and other things floating.
Wrote a review and the manager some how had it deleted. Customer service with the management team is terrible. He believes he is some higher power and ruler of all. I asked for a partial refund and he agreed up until he read my negative review then refused. We will book a BNB or something as it would definitely be cheaper.

One Stay Was Enough

Our family really wanted to like this place, but it’s not the best. At $330(taxes in) a night, I would really suggest you look somewhere else, sadly.
1. Walking into the cabin #9, the door sill was very loose.
2. The BBQ was a mess.
3. The whole 2 bedroom cabin was suppose to be cooled by one very small window unit. Needless to say, nope.
4. The toilet would run constantly.
5. The bedding was questionable when it come to being clean. We happened to all bring our own blankets.
6. Sometimes the water would stop during a shower
7. The smoke alarm would go off while cooking bacon, WITH the door open because it was so hot in there, that AC did nothing.
8. The smoke alarm was SOOO quiet we actually thought it must be one from a few cabins over because it was so low sounding. Very unsafe.
9. The pool was freezing. It was so cold. I can’t even explain to you how cold it was. My daughter’s lips were purple in the 15 minutes she spent in the pool. I wish I was over exaggerating.
Those are just the things that come to mind as I sat down to write this. We went to speak to the one sole man who worked the front desk, and every time I tried to speak with him, the “Back in 5 minute” sign would be up, and he wasn’t back in 5 minutes. We just basically used this cabin to sleep in.

More like a motel than a resort

We stayed at this resort on our 7 day coach tour to the Maritimes. The room assigned to us was supposedly a better one but there were many stairs to climb to reach it. The resort is dated and desparately require a refurbishment. Lobster dinner was served in a generous portion but not to the standard of the other seafood restaurants we visited a couple of years ago in PEI>

As a last resort only

This place is ok if no other options present themselves. Unclean rooms, filthy hallways, sub-par breakfasts, the grounds are in ruins and unkempt. For a place just to lay your head for one night it may be acceptable but otherwise just don't. They are very understaffed and it shows.
