Restaurant with great hospitality
The menu offers a good selection of pizza, meat, game and vegetarian items. The deer goulash with spaetzle, sauce, blue cabbage and cranberry pear was a very decent portion of excellent taste, the vegetable pizza richly coated (with hot oil was offered) and also tasty. The service was still fast, attentive and friendly with good utilization, payment was immediately possible.
Prices are local for drinks at/above the upper limit, acceptable for food.
CONCLUSION: Recommended!

Great accommodation with direct cable car and bus connections
Conclusion: The food was delicious, the kitchen was flexible when it came to special requests, the rooms were very nice, everything was super clean, parking was right outside the door, it was heavenly quiet in the evenings, and the location was perfect for hiking. What more could you want?

Das Team der Auenhütte ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend und äußerst aufmerksam. Die Tourenvorschläge waren ein richtiges Erlebnis.
Das 3-Gang-Menü am Abend war jedes mal ein Gedicht für Augen und Gaumen.
Wir wollen auf alle Fälle wiederkommen, dann aber mit weniger Gepäck.

Kein Kaiserschmarren

Es tut uns Leid, dass ihr nicht in den Genuss des Kaiserschmarrens gekommen seid.
Die Zubereitung eines frischen Kaiserschmarrens dauert ca. 20min, im Winter bereiten unsere Köche immer gleich 10-15 Portionen vor, diese sind meist schnell vergriffen. Wenn der Betrieb um eine gewisse Uhrzeit abflaut, wird kein Kaiserschmarren mehr vorbereitet, da dieser sonst in dem Wärmebehältnis auf Abnehmer wartet und je länger er darin liegt desto schlechter wird die Qualität und das wollen wir unseren Gästen nicht bieten, dann verkaufen wir lieber keinen Kaiserschmarren.
Im Sommer bieten wir den Kaiserschmarren à la minute an, d.h. bei Bestellung wird angefangen zu kochen, das dauert jedoch wie bereits erwähnt ca.20 Minuten, erfahrungsgemäß bringen die Skigäsze diese Zeit nicht mit.
Wir wissen in anderen Betrieben werden Tiefkühl-/Fertigprodukte verwendet, das ist einfach nicht unser Standard.
Wir hoffen auf euer Verständnis und das ihr uns dennoch mal wieder besuchen kommt.
