Not the apartment in the photographs advertising A&E

We were tempted to book A&E as the photographs looked lovely, however the reality of the accomodation was very different. The location was great, the building although old was well maintained and the host appears to be a very nice person. However we were not impressed with the accommodation provided. Images on line bear no resemblance to our experience. Furnishings were very old and on two walls spare headboards were just leaning on the walls. Electrics were fed by multiple extension leads and the mains supply was hidden behind fabric wall coverings. The windows didn't close properly and access to the balcony was through doors that were difficult to open and close due to the age of the frames. The bathroom had been modernised but unfortunately the shower drain didn't work and the bathroom flooded every time you tried to shower. Linens and Towels provided were clean. We do have several photographs which substantiate this. We felt very cheated

I felt at home. I recommend!

Excellent location. Close to markets, restaurants (I recommend La Posada), and very close to Rua Florida and Galerias Pacifico. Stella was very helpful and attentive. Large, complete apartment, huge and comfortable bed, kitchen, charming decor, balcony, and breakfast is brought on a tray with medialunas, fruits, bread, juice and milk. Coffee is available in the kitchen, as are teas. We prepared it ourselves. Depending on the time of day, the hot water runs out soon. The bath has to be quick. It has a hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers. The building is old, as is the elevator, but the service is personalized. I felt at home!

Booking confirmed over 10 months in advance not honored on arrival

We made a booking for two apartments over ten months in advance and this was confirmed by Estalla, the owner in various emails, however on arrival at A&E Buenos Aries Estalla informed us that she in fact did not have the booked rooms available. This was a very distressing situation as we do not peak Spanish and needed to be in this area due to prior bookings for other activities. Estella did little to assist us other than to say she was sorry she did not have the rooms booked available. We had to arrange alternative accommodation on own own after waiting well over an hour with nothing sorted by the property owner. Be very wary of booking this accommodation. The requirement of cash only payment should have set off alarm bells however a very big lesson has been learnt by us. I would NOT recommend this property at all.
