Discriminatory Treatment at Reception

I had a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience at this hotel on Friday night around 9 PM.
We are a family of three (father, mother, and daughter), and from the moment we arrived, the receptionist was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. The situation escalated when he made disrespectful and inappropriate remarks toward us, which we strongly believe were based on the fact that we are from Tunisia. This kind of discriminatory behavior is completely unacceptable in any setting, especially in hospitality.
We arrived late and did not yet have Algerian dinars. We explained the situation calmly and in good faith, and even offered to leave our passports as a guarantee until we could bring cash. Instead of showing any understanding or attempting to find a solution, the receptionist refused outright and continued to speak to us in an insulting manner, including making negative comments about our passports.
At one point, we explained that this situation might leave us with nowhere to go and that we could end up sleeping outside. His response was that he “did not care at all,” which was shocking and speaks volumes about the level of professionalism and basic human decency we encountered.
Because of this treatment, we felt unwelcome and unsafe, and chose to leave and book another hotel at a higher cost just to avoid staying there. At the other hotel, the staff handled the situation professionally and simply allowed us to bring cash the next morning, which we did without any issue. This shows that a reasonable and respectful solution was absolutely possible.
I would, however, like to acknowledge the security staff member on duty that evening, who was kind, respectful, and tried to help us despite the situation. His attitude was the only positive part of this experience, and he deserves recognition.
I strongly advise others to think twice before booking here. Respect, fairness, and basic courtesy should be the minimum standard—unfortunately, this hotel failed on all counts.

There’s no advantage that it’s centralized.

The rooms are spacious but exhausted. Bathroom is unmaintained. Their pixels are linenless. Breakfast is low. There are no single-use sweaters available in the rooms. An established hotel. Benefit of being centrally located. An old hotel. The cafe is made up of old furnishings in print.

A disappointing stay at the Majestic in Annaba

I recently stayed at this hotel called the Magistic , and I must say that the experience was very disappointing. Upon arrival we were confronted with persistent cigarette smells in the rooms, which was extremely unpleasant.
The lack of functional heating made cold nights uncomfortable. The only way of heating was a noisy air conditioner, making it difficult to rest. The bathroom also left something to be desired: a single bulb in the middle provided insufficient lighting, and the shower leaked from everywhere, flooding the room after each use.
The breakfast was minimalist, far from what one would expect, even in terms of basics. For an institution in this category, it was a real disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel and hope that an improvement will be made to these many negatives.

Very good location
