Exceptional Home Base for the Castles and Fussen!!

From the moment we stepped into the Gastehaus Weiss, my husband and I felt like welcome guests and treasured friends. The rooms are lovely and Sandra is the consummate host and innkeeper. Her positive attitude and helpful local information was so valuable and welcome. The location is ideal: a five minute drive to the nearby castles, a ten minute walk into the old town of Fussen, and a five minute walk to the elevated walk way on which you can walk from Germany to Austria. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and offered lots of different varieties of foods and beverages .We felt pampered and cared for throughout our stay. Two thumbs -- and eight enthusiastic fingers -- way up for the amazing Gastehaus Weiss!

Wish I could give them 6 stars!

We stayed here for 2 nights in May. Great location for visiting the castles near Füssen, a 5 minute drive or you could walk to the castles... it’s 4 km.
Also a nice walk, about 15 minutes, to the center of town which is lovely.
The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable although a bit small.
The breakfast is amazing with plenty of variety and everything is fresh! Even made to order eggs! Fresh fruit, fresh bread and croissants, cheese, meats, cereals, yogurt.... I could go on...
The best thing about this hotel and the reason that I would not stay anywhere else is the hosts, Sandra and Oliver. I have not found more giving, caring, friendly people in my travels. They truly love what they do and it shows in the warmth they shared with us during our stay. We felt as though we were staying with friends rather than at a hotel.
If you are planning a trip to the area do yourself a favour and stay here if there’s room.
I highly! recommend this hotel.

Beautiful!

What a beautiful place. Met by the lovely Sandra who spoke great English. The view from room was amazing and the room was lovely and clean and had all we needed including a skylight of which we could gaze at the stars whilst laying in bed.
The breakfast was great with a big assortment. A close walk into the main town and not far from the famous castles.
Highly recommend this beautiful accommodation in a very quiet part of town.

Ours trip to Fussen

Our trip to Fussen wouldn't be that awesome without this Gastehaus. Its perfectly located next - a little further from the tourists croud but not far from the city center - 15min walking or 5 by bike.
The room was very comfortable, new furnuture and always clean.
But the most brilliant thins was family who holds this place. Sandra is a very kind person who really takes care of her guests. She gave us a lot of tips and advices, what to see, where better to go and even helped us to get guests card whit which we could get bikes for free and not only.
So I definitely recommend this place. For sure if we ever come back to Fussen we will definitely stay only here.

Small Family operated guest house, only 11 available rooms, owners cant do enough to please.

On arrival, sat down with one of the owners and signed in, information about the area, and public transport given, and tips on restaurants near for dinner. Full breakfast offered in the room price. Rooms clean and tidy, although not big. Very comfortable and warm.
If you are not wanting to be in the centre of the town then it is a very nice, affordable alternative with a free bus travel card offered from the city of Fussen, to get around to see the attractions around the area.
