Good hotel in a prime location.

Large hotel right by the park, ideal for walking through the park to the city or in the other direction to the castle; each about 1.5 km. The hotel is very clean and dog-friendly. I found the breakfast to be average, but not bad. You can easily spend several days in the hotel.

Obvious hotel in Weinar with all the trimmings for good price!

If you filter by “good hotel with breakfast and elevator” you will get directly to Leonardo. A hotel with a very good value for money, especially when you look at all the amenities and when you see the huge lobby upon entering.
What a grandeur that huge red staircase to the mezzanine with restaurant! Beautiful appearance on the ground floor with the reception on one side of the stairs and the nice bar and a long hallway on the other side.
The 3 elevators behind the stairs never keep you waiting long.
The breakfast was very extensive and good, and even at huge crowds everything runs smoothly, so also the replenishment.
We saw many young and old, and even dogs are welcome. On the long hallway 3rd floor where we sat we heard nothing at all from other guests.
The restaurant (from 6 pm) has a nice menu with reasonable prices.
The staff is very friendly, everything is neatly clean, and parking is easy on the private spacious parking lot.
The only thing you have to think about as an older guest is that all but 2 rooms have a traditional bath that you have to stand in and shower in. And getting in and out is not easy!

Breakfast was very average. And the pool only open at 16pm which was a big let down for the kids.

Not good

We only stayed one night; we were mainly there for the spa area, but as we found out at check-in, it is closed on Sundays.
The alternative of watching the World Cup final on TV unfortunately did not work either, as ARD and ZDF could not be broadcast.
So a failure on all counts.

Unsere Wellness- und Fitnessbereiche sind sonntags nur eingeschränkt zugänglich; der feste Zeitplan ist auf Sicherheit, Hygiene und eine gleichbleibend hohe Qualität ausgerichtet. Wir bedauern, dass dies Ihren Plänen nicht entsprochen hat und Ihr Erlebnis beeinträchtigt wurde.
Ebenso verstehen wir, wie wichtig ein reibungsloser TV-Empfang insbesondere bei Live-Übertragungen ist. Ihr Eindruck entspricht nicht dem Anspruch, den wir an einen angenehmen und störungsfreien Aufenthalt haben.

Ideal for a stay in Weimar.

The hotel is located in close proximity to IlmPark, and there is a bus stop for the local public transport just 100 meters from the hotel. During check-in, we were also provided with useful tips and tourist information that were helpful to us. When arriving by car, parking is available directly at the hotel. Our room was well-equipped and clean. We had a quiet room location, and the air conditioning in the room worked very well. We also found the breakfast to be very good, and the selection was large.
What did not completely convince us was the cuisine of the restaurant. We dined there twice and found the preparations to be "over-seasoned and greasy."
All in all: We will book this hotel again in the fall.
